RICA ARAMBULO Maria Carissa Arambulo Maria Carissa Arambulo, singer, composer, arranger and musical director was born on April 27, 1969. Her early stints as performers include being part of bands such as Metropolis in 1988, Big Thing in 1990, In Session in 1992 and her present band, Ark with Rica Arambulo. Her composition I Will Be There For You won an Awit Award for Best Dance Recording in 1996. in 1998, her composition You Make Me Smile was interpreted by Carol Banawa at the Metropop Song Festival and won 3rd Prize. Four years later, her album Summer’s Here won an Awit Award for Best Engineered Album. MTV artist Viktoria has frequently collaborated with Rica, singing her compositions including the international hit To Be Near You. |
