Vehnee Saturno
Venancio Alconaba Saturno was born in Cabuyao, Laguna on April 1, 1954. One of his first exposures in music was a basic pop arrangement course at the Ryan Cayabyab. Among the artists that rose to fame singing Vehnee’s songs were Martin Nievera, Louie Heredia, Dingdong Avansado, Randy Santiago, Regine Velasquez, Geneva Cruz, Donna Cruz, Ariel Rivera, Ella Mae Saison, Monique Wilson and Tony Lambino. He has quite a number of national songwriting awards among them Best Composition for the song "Isang Dakot" interpreted by Sonia Singson at the 3rd Metro Manila Popular Music Festival in 1982, and 2nd Prize with the song "Ako’y Ako" at the 6th Metro Manila Popular Music Festival; and international awards as well, winning twice at the ASEAN Song Festival in 1983 in Jakarta with Ivy Violan singing the song "Kung Akin Lang," and again in 1991 in Yogyakarta, this time with Samantha Chavez interpreting the song “Love Is All We Need”. In 1985 in Singapore, he won 1st Runner Up with the song "Sino Pa Nga Ba?" at the 1st Asia Pacific Song Festival.
