Manuel Sr. Villar
Villar established the Villar Records in 1950. He earned the title as the Father of Philippine Recoding for his pioneering work in recording original Filipino music. He was also the first president of the Philippine Recording Industry Association (PRIA). He indulged his musical career through Philippine folk songs, kundimans, balitaw and other love songs from different regions. Villar Records was the first to put on record the Philippine National Anthem.
