Barbie Almalbis - vocals, guitar Rommel dela Cruz - bass Wendell Garcia - drums The beginning of Barbie’s Cradle can be traced to the now defunct band Hungry Young Poets (HYP) that gave us hits like "Torpe" and "Firewoman." After three years of playing together, HYP had to part ways as musicians. Barbie Almalbis and Franklin Benitez moved on to form Barbie’s Cradle together with bassist Rommel dela Cruz to complete the line-up. Under their new name are hit songs from their first album released in 1999 such as "The Dance," "Tabing-ilog," "Goodnyt," and a Hotdog tribute song "Langit Na Naman." Sometime before the recording of their second album, "Music From The Buffet Table," drummer Wendell Garcia took Franklin's seat.
